Fresku
Rapper, actor and comedian Fresku released the single “Brief Aan Kees” at the end of 2008. The single, addressed to Kees de Koning, earned him a contract with Top Notch in 2009.
In the following years, he released several albums, two of which were voted best album at the State Awards. In 2021, Fresku said goodbye to Top Notch and continued independently. The work was again highly acclaimed and in 2022 he was even ambassador for freedom in the Netherlands.
On October 20, 2024, his album “Learn to Live” with 30 new songs will be released. Fresku looks around him and inward. He gives a backlash and makes listeners think critically about society. At the same time, he is also critical of himself and shares openly about the thoughts that stifle him. No subject remains untouched by him on this record. Nurturing friendships and beautiful moments, a lack of self-love but in the meantime jumping into the deep end for others, and the progress that can be made when you feel better about yourself. Only when you take off your mask can you really see each other.
